[#445]

Hi,

We have a web app built on Bubble. All hard coded texts are in English. We use a transation tool today to present the app in different languages.

However, our main language is French and it's important for us to turn up in Google search results (SEO) in French.

Can and how would you make that possible (Bubble does not allow sub domains)?

Best,
Peter

Hello Peter,

You can translate your sitemaps with Linguise

Please take a look here:  staging.linguise.com/blog/guide/how-to-setup-the-google-search-console-for-multilingual-websites/

Linguise works with subdomains, but this should not be a problem as it's configured in the domain settings.

You can try Linguise for a whole month free to test, no credit card required.

Our support team is here to help if needed, even in the installation process.

Best regards,

@damien We use another translation service today and they have told us subdomains cannot be used with Bubble - DNS settings for that will disturb Bubble. Is that so or does this work with your service?

@damien Two more questions:

1) We have our site running in full production today with a domain linked and another translation service installed. To test your service I have created a new site. Do we need a separate domain for that new site to test your service?

2) Would you be able to do the test integration as per your offering?

Thanks.

Hi Peter,

We use another translation service today and they have told us subdomains cannot be used with Bubble - DNS settings for that will disturb Bubble. Is that so or does this work with your service?

   -> Yes, Linguise works correctly with Bubble websites using subdomains, and this setup does not disrupt Bubble’s DNS or platform behavior. Subdomain-based multilingual setups are fully supported.

You may refer to our official documentation for detailed guidance: How to Install Linguise on Bubble website

Unfortunately, we’re unable to share specific Bubble websites as references.

But the translation will works the same way as this: Shopify Linguise Demo

1). We have our site running in full production today with a domain linked and another translation service installed. To test your service I have created a new site. Do we need a separate domain for that new site to test your service?

   -> If your production site is currently live and already using another translation service, we recommend not installing Linguise simultaneously on the same site, as this may cause conflicts.

You have two valid testing options:

-> Temporarily disable the existing translation service on your production site and test Linguise there, or

-> Test Linguise on a separate Bubble site (such as a staging or newly created site)

A separate domain is not strictly required for testing, but it can be helpful if your setup or workflow requires it so it doesn't impact your production and your visitor wouldn't know it.

2) Would you be able to do the test integration as per your offering?

   -> Our support team is available to assist you at every step if you encounter any issues during installation or configuration. You can reach us anytime via the Contact us form.

Best regards,

@naufal Thanks for directions.

I will set up a new Bubble app to test Linguise. Do I not need a domain to set up DNS records for Linguise for this test app?

Hello,

Do I not need a domain to set up DNS records for Linguise for this test app?

  -> I think you can check it first, if Bubble allows adding DNS records (CNAME and TXT records) on their side you can easily install Linguise.

However, based on their articles I think you'll need a domain for your Bubble site to allow DNS records management.

For your reference: Bubble custom domain and dns

The main point is, to install Linguise you'll need to add DNS records (CNAME and TXT records)

Best regards,

@naufal

I've purchased a domain to be able to set DNS records.

But it looks like we need the Bubble feature Sub-apps to make this work:

Each individual app can only be connected to one domain or subdomain. If you need to use multiple domains or subdomains, consider utilizing the sub-app feature.

Article: Sub-apps

Sub-apps require us to buy a Team plan, which takes us from $32 to $399 per month.

1) Can you confirm we need the Sub-app feature in Bubble and therefore the Team plan?

2) Is there another way?

Hey Peter,

You don't need a subapp.

What you need it, is to be able to add custom DNS.
Thoose custom DNS entries will be the one Linguise provides you for all the languages (+ a TXT record)

Where did you register your domain ?

Best regards,
